Berlin Diaries : Day 1 and 2

Hey dolls!!
How are you ?? I am good but a little tired!! As you may know I was in Berlin the last 5 days with my boyfriend and I came back today morning in Thessaloniki !!! My trip was pretty cool, I didn’t except that Berlin was such an amazing city! I have to say that their culture is very different from us (Greek) but I kinda liked it! So, we arrived in Schönefeld around 9:30am, we left our baggage and then we went out to an amazing german restaurant in a suburb of the city (Neuköln). We ate Currywurst and Schnitzel with fried potatoes, which are both traditional german foods and then we took a walk in the city center, in Alexanderplatz. I found this trip as a good chance to exercise my German knowledge and speak the with native speakers. The next day, on Sunday, we woke up and took an early breakfast in ”Extrablatt”. There you could pay almost 7 euros and you could eat everything from the buffet. There was every kind of breads, eggs, salmon, cakes, everything that you can imagine!! You know, Germans eat very rich breakfast but I am not really used to that, I liked the breakfast very much though. :) Then we began exploring the city. The first station was Potsdamer Platz, which is also considered as the city center and a very touristic area. Here there are many parks, sightseeing and the famous ”Brandenburger Tor”.

The best part in this area was that there were many young people, like students because of the university ”Humboldt”, which is located in ”Potsdamer Platz”. Young people with their bikes were everywhere and they were riding them, even in the streets between the cars!!There was a special road for bikes. We enjoyed the parks by resting on the grass down the sun which was shining all the days that we were there. Later we visited by bus  the ”Alexanderplatz”, where there is the ”Fernsehturm”! In the latter you can enjoy the view of Berlin from high and eat or drink something in the restaurant! We also visited the malls that there are in these areas, like the ”Alexa” and the ”Galleria” that they are pretty amazing and very big! There is great variety of shops inside, to eat , to shop clothing, shoes, home deco, everything!
